I'M Eddie hudson

I am an artist who loves working in oil and acrylics, pastel, pencil and charcoal! The entire spectrum of tones and textures, colors and shapes tells a story, for me. While we would like to think that every piece rendered is the artist’s autobiography, I feel that rendering tells the story of us all. It communicates our feelings and beliefs, the influence of culture, relationships and spans across time. I have exhibited my work in private settings like Maywood Public Library and Loyola Stritch School of Medicine. Currently I am working on several themes of work with the theme of “linen” and the interaction between water and rocks. Look for those pieces to be made available soon.

Inspiration

I am inspired by the stories of our lives, how we feel about growing, exploration and what makes happy and sad. While we are all complex individuals, at any given point, our complexities can be captured, rendered and reflect our life experiences.

Techniques

Many of my ideas began with a stroke or two on canvas or paper. Themes and "story lines" develop and before I know it, I am off on a new adventure. Color and texture play a huge part in each piece.
